What are We

We are a collective team of passionate, experienced hockey coaches and mental health experts that specialize in assisting children at the age of 12 and under with issues concerning mental health and anxiety within a sports setting.

HC4HK understands that sometimes just getting to the rink and on the ice can be the biggest hurdle for a child.

Does your child love skating/ hockey but just doesn't want to go or engage with teammates and coaches?

Does your child suffer from feelings of nervousness, anxiety, depression and/ or other mental health issues?

Are you a coach that has one or a few players that just won’t participate in team practice or play?

HC4HK CAN HELP!!!

In dealing with child/ youth anxiety and mental health issues, there isn’t one approach that works for everyone. HC4HK believes that the most effective services are those that are provided in a responsive and respectful manner in partnership with families and caregivers.

From Learn to skate programs to Representative hockey, HC4HK invites families, caregivers, and coaches to contact us to see how we can meet your specific and individual needs!

What We Do

We work one on one or in a group setting with one goal. Make the athlete(s) comfortable.
Sports aren’t easy and neither is attempting something that frightens you!
We can make being at the rink or even just getting there a much less scarier experience!

How We Do It

We can join warm-ups, practices, tryouts, team meetings, cheer from the sidelines, etc. when invited to assist in helping our young athletes and coaches having a tough time at the rink! We are always available to talk with parents, caregivers, child and youth.
MOST OF OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE!

Why We Do It

Mental health and anxiety issues are on an alarming increase. We will do what we can to try and help our children and youth become successful adults so that they may go on to help others as well!

The old saying is, “ Hockey has given so much to me, it’s time I give something back to hockey”!
